What if I told you that sales calls could be completely optional for your high-ticket business?

Imagine running an event where you have 100, 1,000, or even tens of thousands of sales calls all at once - or as Tony Robbins recently did, 1.25 MILLION sales calls simultaneously!

This week, I had the privilege of interviewing Brody Lee, former Apple event planner who's generated over $100 million in client revenue through 200+ events, to uncover his exact formula for creating million-dollar virtual events.

Alright, let's Dive In...

Why Events Are The Most Untapped Resource in High-Ticket Sales

Events have been around for 300,000 years. They've been at the core of every social movement, political movement, and progression in society. Apple uses them for product launches. Tesla uses them to showcase new vehicles. Political rallies transform supporters into passionate advocates.

Yet in the high-ticket space, everyone is obsessed with one-to-one sales calls.

What if you could bypass the inefficiency of individual sales calls and have hundreds or thousands of sales conversations simultaneously?

According to Brody, that's exactly where the magic of virtual events comes in.

Let's look at the numbers:

  • For a sales team with a 20% close rate to enroll 20 clients, they need to schedule 100 calls

  • That's 100 hours of your team's time

  • At a $20,000 offer with 10% commission, you're paying out $40,000 in commissions

With virtual events, people PAY YOU for the privilege of being pitched to! And the results can be staggering.

The 5-Step System for Million-Dollar Virtual Events

Brody shared his proven 5-step system that's generated millions in revenue:

Step 1: Set Up

Design an events ecosystem that fits with what's already working in your business. This isn't about replacing your current systems, but bolting on events to create large influxes of clients.

A key question to ask yourself: "If I got 100 new clients today, what would break first?" Then build systems to prevent that breakdown.

Step 2: Show Up

Fill your event with highly qualified people who are already primed to buy before they arrive. The magic happens in the pre-event communications, where you're preparing them psychologically for the offer.

Step 3: Blow Up

Create mind-blowing content that touches, moves, and inspires your audience. But here's the key insight many miss: don't treat your pitch as "an event within the event." Instead, engineer everything throughout the event with the sale in mind.

Step 4: Pay Up

Present an offer that "sells itself" at exactly the right moment to the right audience. Master the art of platform selling to move people to what Brody calls "the line of decision demarcation" - where they make a full-body "yes" or clear "no."

Step 5: Scale Up

Once you've proven your event model works, scale through paid traffic arbitrage, build a reliable team, and focus on increased profitability.

The Virtual Event Advantage: Better Conversions & Lower Costs

One of the most surprising insights Brody shared was how virtual events can outperform in-person events in many ways:

  1. Lower Costs: No venue, no catering, no travel expenses

  2. Higher Engagement: When done right, attendees leave MORE energized than when they arrived

  3. Better Retention: Event attendees have lower churn rates than sales call sign-ups

Why do event attendees stick around longer? Because they've had a deeper connection with you.

As Brody explained: "We know people need at least 20 touch points before they're ready to purchase. But if you put them in an intensive environment over multiple days, they have an immersive experience with you. The bond created is much stronger than a 45-minute sales call."

The Secret Psychological Trigger That Gets People "Begging" to Be Sold To

One of Brody's favorite tactics is something called "open loops" - a psychological technique that creates irresistible desire for your offer.

Here's how it works:

  1. You mention something valuable but don't fully explain it

  2. This creates an "open loop" in the person's mind that craves closure

  3. You strategically close certain loops while opening new ones throughout the event

  4. By the time you make your offer, people are literally begging to hear it

Brody shared this example: "At the beginning of my events, I'll say 'My name is Brody Lee, and by lunchtime tomorrow, you'll be begging me to sell to you.' People think 'What the hell?' but at my last three events, I literally had people before lunch saying 'Can you please just sell to us already?'"

The Million-Dollar Event Hack: Pre-Event Objection Handling

Here's one of Brody's most powerful million-dollar tactics:

Send a pre-event email that directly addresses every possible objection prospects might have BEFORE they attend. Make it clear you'll be making an offer, and ask them to come ready to make a decision.

This does three crucial things:

  1. Establishes you as the authority

  2. Sets the frame for how they should view the event

  3. Starts the sales process before the event even begins

Then, at the event itself, have participants complete what Tony Robbins calls a "wheel of life" exercise - rating themselves in key areas. This shows them exactly where they're lacking, creating the perfect opening for your offer to be the solution.

"We saw conversions increase by 12% the first time we introduced this," Brody shared. "Who wouldn't want a 12% bump in their event conversions?"

The Tech Setup That Makes Virtual Events Work

The great news? You don't need a fancy studio setup to run a successful virtual event.

All you need to start is:

  • An iPhone (for high-quality video)

  • The eCam app (to use your iPhone as a camera)

  • Zoom (for breakout rooms and audience interaction)

Brody emphasized that the key to virtual event success is creating genuine connection: "I don't like webinar setups where you can only chat. I want people to engage with me live, bring them up on screen, and create an experience like they're actually physically present with me."

He also recommends frequent breakout rooms, which often become the most valuable part of the event. These connections among participants increase conversion because "when you present your offer, they've already anchored in their minds the people they'll be around in your program."

AI: The Future of High-Converting Events

One of the most exciting developments Brody shared is how his team is using AI to dramatically improve event conversions.

They're building an "Events Expert AI" that:

  1. Collects data from registrants through a voice agent

  2. Analyzes participant demographics and pain points

  3. Designs the entire event around the specific audience

  4. Even suggests how to modify presentation content in real-time

In one recent example, they collected data live at an event about audience fears and frustrations, fed it into their AI, and it produced a script that "agitated all their pain points" before the pitch - generating an extra $75,000 in revenue!

But the most fascinating application? Using AI to strategically seat people at tables based on their buying capacity. They seat confirmed buyers with other confirmed buyers, creating a powerful social proof environment that increases conversions.

Why This Matters: Events Create Lasting Impact

Beyond the revenue potential, Brody shared something profound about why events matter:

"Events save lives. When someone has a breakthrough, an aha moment where they're touched, moved, or inspired, they're literally rewiring neural pathways in their brain. They go out into the world and change how they behave as a result."

This is why I'm personally so excited about virtual events. They're not just about generating revenue - they're about creating transformation at scale.

I'm actually working with Brody right now on my own virtual event (which may have already happened by the time you're reading this), and I'm implementing these exact strategies.

Your Next Steps: Implementing the Virtual Event Strategy

If you're intrigued by the potential of virtual events for your high-ticket business, here are your next steps:

  1. Map Your Event Ecosystem: How would a virtual event complement your existing marketing and sales systems?

  2. Define Your 3 Core Secrets: What are the 3 big insights you could share that would provide immense value while leading naturally to your offer?

  3. Plan Your Pre-Event Communications: How will you prime attendees to be ready to buy before they even arrive?

  4. Consider Your Offer Carefully: What offer would be irresistible to someone who's just experienced your transformative event content?

Final Thoughts

As we wrap up this deep dive into million-dollar virtual events, I want to leave you with one powerful insight from my conversation with Brody:

"You have a fiduciary responsibility to humanity to be filthy rich - because we want to do good with that money. When you're in a room with people having a conversation about something important, you're altering the evolution of our species."

That's what excites me about this strategy - it's not just about making sales. It's about creating genuine transformation while scaling your business to new heights.

In the words of Brody's mentor: "What if every time we do business, something good happens in the world?"

I'll see you at an event soon! 😉
