How to Create 90 Days of Content from One Brainstorming Session

As Entrepreneurs & Marketers, we all know the power of consistent, valuable content. It builds trust, establishes authority, and keeps your audience engaged.

But let's be real - coming up with fresh ideas day after day can be exhausting. That's why having a solid content plan is crucial.

The 5-Step Content Creation Masterplan

Alright, let's get into the meat of it. Here's my 5-step process for creating a 90-day video content plan:

  1. Know Your Ideal Client Inside and Out

This is the foundation of everything. We're going to create a deep, intimate understanding of your ideal client. Here's what you need to do:

Create a bulleted list of at least 10 answers for each of these questions about your ideal client:

  • What are their fears?

  • What are their doubts and insecurities?

  • What are their tangible problems?

  • What are their goals and desires?

  • What are their burning questions?

  • What are their reasons for inaction?

  • What are some of their past failures?

  • What are their limiting beliefs?

Don't rush this part. Really dig deep and try to uncover those hidden fears and desires. This is where the gold is.

Pro Tip: You can use a Tool like ChatGPT to help you with this brainstorming process! Try asking ChatGPT a prompt like this:

PROMPT: My Ideal Client is _____ & my business helps them with ____. What are the 10 biggest fears my ideal client has?
  1. Create 5 Different Angles for Each Answer

Now, here's where it gets interesting. For each of those answers, we're going to come up with 5 different video angles:

  • A personal story

  • A case study

  • A metaphor or analogy

  • A thought experiment

  • A new perspective or insight

This is where your creativity can really shine. Don't be afraid to think outside the box!

  1. Outline Your Videos

For each video idea, we're going to plan out these five key elements:

  • Hook: Grab their attention right off the bat

  • Story: Share a relevant anecdote or case study

  • Educate: Deliver your main points and value

  • Summary: Recap the key takeaways

  • Call to Action: Tell them what to do next

This structure ensures that every video you create is engaging, valuable, and drives action.

  1. Record Your Content

Now it's time to bring your ideas to life. You can either batch record several videos at once, or go live if that's more your style. The key is to start creating!

  1. Rinse and Repeat

This isn't a one-and-done process. Keep coming back to this method to generate fresh ideas and keep your content pipeline full.

Let's Break It Down With an Example Video

I know what you're thinking - "Aleric, this sounds great in theory, but how does it work in practice?" Let me show you.

Let's say one of the fears you identified for your ideal client is, "Facebook might shut down my ad account." Here's how you could approach this from 5 different angles:

  1. Personal Story: Share your own experiences with clients who've put all their eggs in the Facebook basket. Talk about their worries and how you've helped them diversify with platforms like YouTube.

  2. Case Study: Tell the story of a specific client whose Facebook ad account was shut down. How did they pivot? How did YouTube ads become their saving grace?

  3. Metaphor/Analogy: Use the classic "When one door closes, another opens" metaphor. Frame the potential loss of Facebook ads as an opportunity to discover better platforms.

  4. Thought Experiment: Ask your audience, "What if your Facebook ad account was shut down tomorrow? How would it affect your marketing, and what would you do?" Use this to stress the importance of diversification.

  5. New Perspective: Compare Facebook's strict policies with YouTube's more forgiving three-strike system. Show how YouTube can be a more stable, less stressful platform for advertisers.

Now, let's take that last idea and flesh it out into a full video outline:

  • Hook: "Did you know that YouTube has a three-strike policy, but on Facebook you can get shut down for a single very small infraction? If you're depending solely on Facebook for your video ads, that's a reason to live in fear."

  • Story: Share a quick anecdote about clients who got shut down by Facebook without warning, and how it led them to discover the power of YouTube ads.

  • Educate: Dive deep into the risks of relying solely on Facebook ads and contrast that with the benefits of YouTube. This is where you deliver the real value.

  • Summary: Quickly recap the main points about why YouTube is a safer, more effective platform for ads.

  • Call to Action: "If you're ready to escape the fear of relying on Facebook ads, book a call with me today, and I'll help you make the transition to a much better, safer, and more impactful platform for your ads: YouTube."

And this is an example of just ONE VIDEO you can film using this strategy — again our process is designed to help you brainstorm dozens & dozens of ideas in just one hour (or even less if you leverage ChatGPT!)

Once you've mastered this process, you can take it even further and add your own question prompts to the initial list. The possibilities are endless.

Remember, the key to success with this method is consistency. Set aside time regularly to brainstorm and create. Before you know it, you'll have a content library that positions you as the go-to expert in your field!
